State and federal laws provide individuals (or data subjects) with certain rights related to their personal information. These rights allow you to make Data Subject Access Requests or DSARs to businesses that collect personal information (PI) about you. These rights include:
- the right to know/receive an accounting of your PI
- the right to access your PI
- the right to correct your PI
- the right to request deletion of certain PI
NAU Country does not sell customer PI or share it with unaffiliated third parties. Limited sharing of PI occurs to administer and service accounts. For this reason, NAU Country does not provide an option to “opt out” of sharing PI.
As an Approved Insurance Provider under the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation, NAU Country is governed by the Federal the Gramm-Leach Bliley Act (GLBA), the Federal Crop Insurance Act and enabling regulations, and state laws related to insurance privacy and data security. Timelines for NAU Country to respond to DSARs vary by state and by the nature of the request (generally within 10 – 30 days). Where possible, NAU Country will honor all requests related to PI, provided they do not conflict with data retention policies or other laws.
