NAU Country is Committed to Keeping You Covered During a Partial Government Shutdown
PARTIAL GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN UPDATE
Due to the partial government shutdown, NAU Country wants to reassure you of our continued commitment to supporting our agents and policyholders. Many services within the agricultural sector are considered essential and will remain available to Approved Insurance Providers (AIPs), agents, agencies, and policyholders.
These services include:
Claims Processing and Payments
- AIPs will continue to process claims, and the Risk Management Agency (RMA) will accept data submissions and edits, and continue to fund escrow accounts, including Rainfall Index policies. Please note that commission payments will not be impacted by the shutdown.
Multi-Peril Crop Insurance (MCPI)
- Sales and policy processing for MPCI will remain available and permitted.
Livestock Insurance
- Sales and policy processing for Livestock Risk Protection (LRP), Livestock Gross Margin (LGM), and Dairy Revenue Protection (DRP) will continue. Please note that certain activities and support may be limited.
Written Agreement Approvals
- RMA will not be approving any Written Agreement requests during the shutdown. However, please continue submitting them to NAU Country for underwriting as usual, as timelines remain unchanged.
Please contact your NAU Country Marketing Representative or Underwriter if you have any questions.
We will keep you informed as we learn more from the Risk Management Agency (RMA) and will post updates to our NAU Country news page at https://www.naucountry.com/about-us/news.
