RMA Update: Extending COVID-19 Relief
Beginning in March, the Risk Management Agency (RMA) began issuing Manager’s Bulletins to provide program flexibilities in response to COVID-19. As a continued response to COVID-19, the RMA has released MGR-20-026. AACI Issue Alert - Some farmers now able to hay, graze or chop cover crops early
On Monday, August 17, 2020, the American Association of Crop Insurers (AACI) issued an AACI Issue Alert regarding USDA's Risk Management Agency (RMA) issuing a press release announcing that farmers who planted cover crops on prevented plant acres in select counties in North Dakota and South Dakota will be permitted to hay, graze, or chop those fields beginning Sept. 1 rather than Nov. 1.
